Coast Guard medevacs 35-year-old man from vessel 55 miles west of San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — The Coast Guard medevaced a 35-year-old Taiwanese national approximately 55 nautical miles west of San Francisco, Tuesday.
The motor vessel YM Eminence crew contacted Coast Guard Sector San Francisco watchstanders at approximately 5:30 a.m., reporting that a crewmember injured his hand and the crew was having trouble controlling the bleeding.
A Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew launched to medevac the man.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., the helicopter crew arrived on scene, hoisted the crewmember and transferred him to San Francisco Fire Department EMS waiting at Air Station San Francisco.
His condition is unknown.
