Coast Guard Cutter Jacob Poroo to hold free public tours in Mobile, Alabama

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is providing free public tours aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Jacob Poroo during the Mardi Gras celebration Saturday and Sunday.
Who: Coast Guard Cutter Jacob Poroo crew
What: The Jacob Poroo will be providing tours for the Mobile community during the Mardi Gras celebration
When: February 10, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and February 11, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Where: The Gulf Coast Museum, 155 Water Street, Mobile, Alabama, 36602, in downtown Mobile, Alabama
The Jacob Poroo is one of the Coast Guard’s newest cutters, commissioned on December 8, 2017. It is currently stationed in Pascagoula, Mississippi, as an Eighth Coast Guard District asset.
