Coast Guard assists 3 adults, 2 children near Sands Key

 A 24-foot pleasure craft, with three adults and two children, is being towed by a Coast Guard Station Miami Beach 45-foot Response Boat—Medium boatcrew after becoming disabled in the vicinity of Sands Key, Florida, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017.  A Coast Guard Station Miami Beach 45-foot Response Boat—Medium boatcrew takes a photo with some boaters they assisted, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 in the vicinity of Sands Key after the 24-foot pleasure craft became disabled and was towed by the boatcrew to Convoy Point Marina.

MIAMI — The Coast Guard assisted three adults and two children Tuesday from a disabled pleasure craft in the vicinity of Sands Key.

Watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Miami received a 911 relay call at approximately 5:20 p.m. reporting a 24-foot pleasure craft with three adults and two children aboard who needed assistance. A Coast Guard Station Miami Beach 45-foot Response Boat—Medium boatcrew launched to assist the boaters.

The boatcrew arrived on scene at approximately 7 p.m. and took the pleasure craft with the five boaters in tow to Convoy Point Marina with no reported injuries.
