1. This message announces the cancellation of REF (A), promulgation of the
new revision to REF (B), and release of REFs (C) through (G).
2. During the most recent review of the Boat Crew Seamanship Manual, subject matter
experts determined that the information would be better packaged for the field in
the form of five Boat Crew Handbooks. The five handbooks, REFs (C-G), come online
concurrently with the cancellation of REF (A), and a formal crosswalk is posted
with the handbooks to help field users locate content. In addition, REF (B) has
been updated to reflect new references and Trainee Study Guide information. 
3. The Boat Crew Handbooks and formal crosswalk are available on the Office of Boat
Forces SharePoint/Portal Site:
