BOSTON — A Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod helicopter crew medevaced a 50-year-old man Saturday afternoon from 75 miles off the coast of Chatham.

At around 2:20 p.m. the captain of the 92-foot fishing vessel Gabby G reported one of his crewmembers was experiencing chest pains and requested a medevac.

A Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew launched to assist, and arrived on scene at around 4 p.m. They hoisted the patient to the helicopter and brought him to Massachusetts General Hospital at around 5:40 p.m.

The Gabby G is homeported out of Montauk, New York.
