Coast Guard rescues person in Missouri River
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued a person in the water near Omaha, Nebraska, Tuesday.
Coast Guard Cutter Gasconade crew located a person struggling in the water near mile marker 601 on the Missouri River. The crew successfully recovered the survivor, who was reportedly dehydrated, at 1:45 p.m. local time.
Upon recovery, the survivor stated his canoe had capsized.
The survivor was transferred to EMS and transported to a local hospital reportedly in stable condition.
