Coast Guard searching for person in the water in Panama City Beach

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is searching for a person in the water near Panama City Beach, Sunday.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report of a person in the water at 6:43 p.m., approximately 200 yards off-shore of Regency Tower.

Involved in the search are:

  • Coast Guard Station Panama City 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew
  • Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobil HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrew
  • Bay County Sheriff
  • Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
