BOSTON –– Coast Guard Sector Boston response personnel along with members of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection responded to potential pollution from the sunken fishing vessel My Dee Lite Friday, at Green Harbor Marina in Green Harbor.

The fishing vessel caught fire and sunk Thursday evening. After local responders extinguished the fire, the Marshfield Harbormaster deployed boom to contain any pollutants.

Upon arrival, Coast Guard and Massachusetts DEP responders deployed additional absorbent boom.

My Dee Lite is reported to have a total of 685 gallons of diesel fuel onboard. No breaches of the fuel tank have been reported.

A commercial salvage company is expected to raise My Dee Lite. A vacuum truck is expected to be on scene in the event any diesel leaks.
