MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Make a splash with your local rescuers 

Water Safety Fair Flyer

WHO: Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, local fire and police department and sheriff's marine patrol. 

WHAT: Scheduled to host a water safety fair in Sausalito to include:

  • Coast Guard helicopter rescue demonstration scheduled at noon 
  • Courtesy vessel safety checks scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
  • Free paddle craft safety seminars scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Life Jacket World Record Day attempt
  • Free life jackets to be distributed
  • Behind the scene tours of Coast Guard vessels and sheriff's helicopter
  • Coast Guard K-9 demonstrations
  • Paddle craft ID stickers, safe boating literature, stickers and activity books for children 

WHEN: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: Coast Guard Station Golden Gate at 435 Murray Circle, Sausalito, CA 94965. There is plenty of parking.
