Coast Guard attends 2017 NFL Draft

Mikki and Christopher Frison are given a standing ovation by attendees at the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia, April 28, 2017.  The Frison’s attended the 2017 NFL Draft as part of the Gold Star program, which honors family members who have lost a loved one serving in the military.   1st Lt. Demetrius Frison, Mikki’s husband and Christopher’s father, lost his life May 10, 2011 while serving in the Army in Afghanistan. PHILADELPHIA -- Cmdr. Andre Murphy, Chief of Response, Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay, represented the Coast Guard in a military escort of Mikki and Christopher Frison, Gold Star family members, who were chosen to select the Philadelphia Eagle's 2017 NFL Draft Pick in Philadelphia, Friday.

Mikki's husband and Christopher's father, Army 1st Lt. Demetrius Frison, was killed in Afghanistan on May 10, 2011.
