Subject: Null value in Sea and Rail X12 355
Description: A change has been created (PR 48718) to address an issue when ACE returns a malformed or incomplete 355 message in response to a trade message containing a “NULL” value. Per the IG, “NULL” is not an allowable value. With the implementation of PR 48718, ACE will be returning a Sea and Rail 355 X12 message that is consistent with how we currently handle NON-NULL invalid characters – we will return the NULL value in the 355 if it is transmitted in a required segment (e.g. P4, M10). This change is scheduled to be deployed on 1/31/2015 (DS 65 PROD DEPLOYMENT)
