On April 4, 2014, the U.S. Department of Commerce authorized U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to grant pre-liquidation refunds of countervailing duty cash deposits on entries of certain frozen warmwater shrimp from China, India, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Importers may request refunds of the countervailing duty cash deposits by submitting a request in writing to the applicable port of entry.
If a refund is not requested, the countervailing duty cash deposits will be processed at the time of liquidation based on Commerce’s liquidation instructions.
