Attn: Air Carriers and ABI Air In-bond filers
CBP is aware of an intermittent issue with failed ā1Dā in-bond notifications. If you do not receive an expected ā1Dā response, you may contact your local CBP Office to determine if the in-bond is authorized for transfer.
This problem is caused by a data base issue. In order to avoid an extended outage, CBP has decided to fix the data base issue off line and replace the corrected data base. This will require a short outage tomorrow. A CSMS Message will be issued with details of this outage as soon as they become available.
The choice to avoid an extended outage may lead to recurring problems until the data base is re-indexed and replaced.
