Commodity:

Beef as provided in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), Chapter 2 subheadings, Additional United States Note (AUSN) 3 and addressed in Presidential Proclamation and Annex “Further Ensuring Affordable Beef for the American Consumer” published on August 26, 2026. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2026/08/further-ensuring-affordable-beef-for-the-american-consumer/

In addition to the aggregate in-quota quantity of beef as specified in AUSN 3(a) to chapter 2 of the tariff schedule, an additional 300,000 metric tons (mt) of beef product, primarily consisting of lean beef trimmings, of other countries or areas may be entered between 12:01 am September 1, 2026 and November 30, 2026 under statistical reporting numbers 0201.30.5091, 0201.30.5097, 0202.30.5091 and 0202.30.5097.

This additional aggregate quantity of beef shall be administered in three 30-day tranches of 100,000 metric tons (mt). Each tranche is a distinct quota period administered on a first-come, first served basis. Tranche 1 opens on September 1, 2026, and closes on September 30, 2026. Tranche 2 will open on October 1, 2026, and close on October 30, 2026. Tranche 3 will open on October 31, 2026, and will remain open until the additional in-quota quantity is filled or November 30, 2026, whichever is earlier.

Quota Period:

Tranche 1: September 1, 2026- September 30, 2026

Tranche 2: October 1, 2026 – October 30, 2026

Tranche 3: October 31, 2026 – November 30[BL2.1], 2026

Opening Dates:

Tuesday, September 1, 2026

All entries submitted after 12:01 am local port time and prior to 08:30 am Eastern Time (ET) and on the opening date will receive an entry time of 08:30 am for quota qualification purposes. If the total for any HTSUS group exceeds the limit at 08:30 am ET, all accepted entries will be prorated.
