REMINDER: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) deployed updates to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Production (PROD) environment to enable the automated transmission of container seal changes for ocean and rail shipments on April 9, 2026.

Using new disposition codes, ACE automatically notifies carriers via EDI when CBP personnel add or remove container seals for ocean and rail shipments.

Automated Broker Interface (ABI) filers can query a record of D2/D3 notifications for a bill of lading to determine if container seals have been added and/or removed by CBP, including viewing new container and seal numbers.
