Purpose:
The purpose of this message is to inform stakeholders that, pursuant to the General Notice (90 FR 55319) published December 2, 2025, and in accordance with 19 CFR 111.96(c), the annual Customs Broker permit user fee due date for the 2026 calendar year is Friday, January 30, 2026. The permit user fee for the 2026 calendar year is $185.38 and is due for all active national permits issued on or before December 31, 2025. This information has also been relayed via CSMS #66971728.
This fee must be paid by each broker that holds a national permit and is conducting business as an individual, partnership, association, or corporation. Licensed individuals who do not hold a permit (e.g., an officer or employee of a brokerage firm operating under the firm’s permit) are not required to pay this fee.
Failure to pay the annual user fee by the January 30, 2026 deadline will result in permit revocation by operation of law.
Written notification of revocation will be provided, and brokers must reapply for a permit and pay the $100 application fee in addition to the user fee before a new permit will be issued.
Payments:
The annual user fee payment should be submitted through the eCBP portal at https://e.cbp.dhs.gov/ecbp/#/main. The eCBP portal is available for 2026 user fee submissions from December 2, 2025, through January 30, 2026. eCBP accepts credit card and debit card payments. No additional fees are charged for online payments, and receipts are provided electronically.
