Solicitation To Establish Two (2) Centralized Examination Stations (CES)
In accordance with the provisions in Title 19, Part 118 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), the Area Port of Dallas is announcing the solicitation for bids to operate a Centralized Examination Station (CES) in the Port of Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area. One or more applicants may be selected from this solicitation.
This solicitation for applicants is necessary to ensure that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the trade community are afforded the most cost effective and highest quality of service from a CES. The number of Centralized Examination Stations serving the Port of Dallas/Fort Worth is not expected to increase as a result of this solicitation.
Applications will be accepted only in response to this notice and must be received within 60 calendar days of the date of its issuance. The public is invited to submit any relevant written comments as to whether a CES should be established, or whether there is still a need for a CES. Public comments must be received within 30 calendar days of the date on this notice.
The Area Port of Dallas is seeking two (2) CES operators that can immediately provide all the established requisites to serve the rapidly growing needs of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area Trade Community in a fair and competitive manner while providing an expeditious and professional service.
The preferred regional location for the first solicited CES is no more than 30-mile radius from the Port of Dallas/Fort Worth, Port Office 7501 Esters Blvd. Ste. 160, Irving TX 75063, and Union Pacific Dallas Intermodal Terminal, 1550 Fulghum Road, Hutchins TX 75141.
The preferred regional location for the second solicited CES is no more than 30-mile radius from the Port of Dallas/Fort Worth, Port Office 7501 Esters Blvd. Ste. 160, Irving TX 75063, and BNSF Railway, 1111 Intermodal Pkwy, Haslet, TX 76052.
