CSMS # 64824427 - Truck Manifest Implementation Guide Update – Section 321 U.S. State Codes

The ACE Truck Manifest ANSI X12 309 Message Implementation Guide has been updated with clarification that consignees for Section 321 bill types (13, 35) must provide a valid U.S state code. This requirement is in alignment with 19 C.F.R. § 142.3 and Customs Directive No. 3550-079A.

NOTE: Trade and Software Developers that submit via the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) will need to program and test their software to incorporate these changes.
