CSMS # 61879623 - ACE Update to Prevent PSC Change from Non-quota to Quota Entry Type Set to Deploy September 23
On September 23, 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will deploy a change in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) production environment (PROD) to electronically prevent filers from changing an entry via Post Summary Correction (PSC) from a non-quota entry type to a quota entry type (02). Beginning on September 23, when a filer attempts to change a non-quota entry to a quota entry via a PSC, ACE will return the following error message: B64 - PSC ENTRY TYPE CHANGE NOT ALLOWED
This change was recently deployed in the ACE Certification environment (CERT) and is currently available for CERT testing. Deployment date information for this enhancement is also now available on the ACE Development and Deployment Schedule.
As a reminder, PSC Test Federal Register Notices (FRN) 81 FR 8942 and 82 FR 2385 permits only 01 to 03 and 03 to 01 entry type changes. This deployment aligns with that PSC Test notice. If general policy information is needed regarding PSCs or Quota, please refer to the ACE Entry Summary Business Rules and Process Document. For more information regarding this deployment, please review the direction provided to the trade community in Quota Bulletin 23-128.
