CSMS # 61789503 - Modification of Withhold Release Order Against Tuna and Seafood Products Harvested by the Yu Long No. 2
Effective August 14, 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel at all U.S. ports of entry will discontinue withholding release of tuna and seafood products harvested by Yu Long No. 2, a Taiwanese fishing vessel.
On May 11, 2020, CBP issued a Withhold Release Order (WRO) against tuna and other seafood products harvested by Yu Long No. 2 based on information that reasonably indicates the use of forced labor in violation of 19 U.S.C. § 1307 in the production of that merchandise.
CBP approved this petition to modify based on Yu Long No. 2 having successfully demonstrated the remediation of forced labor conditions identified in the WRO. Additional information is available in the CBP press release published here: https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/national-media-release/cbp-modifies-withhold-release-order-yu-long-no-2.
