CSMS # 61177522 - The ACE Appendix PGA Document Has Been Updated on June 28, 2024

On June 28, 2024, updates related to APHIS Core will be available in CBP’s CERTIFICATION environment. This includes Appendix PGA additions in the PG10 record (Commodity qualifier codes, commodity characteristic qualifier codes) and the PG14 Type codes. The draft version of the Appendix is available in the ‘Draft Chapters: Future Capabilities’ section located here: https://www.cbp.gov/trade/ace/catair. Please see the Appendix PGA change log (change #52) for specifics.

Additionally, APHIS will be releasing an updated APHIS Core Implementation Guide with new technical rules before the changes in the Certification environment. Other areas of the Implementation Guide are being updated to as needed to provide guidance per the technical rules updates and Appendix PGA changes.

These changes are expected to be available in CBP’s PRODUCTION region, no earlier than September 14, 2024.
