Cargo Systems Messaging Service
CSMS # 60520245 - FDA ITACS Status “No public status available” and Arrival Information
FDA would like to remind the import trade community of the meaning of the line level message ‘No public status available’ in FDA’s Import Trade Auxiliary Communication System (ITACS). This messaging may occur during the following two scenarios:
1. ‘No public status available’ will display as the line level messaging when the local FDA office has not yet taken any action and the lines are still pending initial review.
OR
2. ‘No public status available’ will display as the line level messaging AND the red text “FDA entry status information is not available pending receipt of Conveyance Arrival Notification.” will display on the ITACS screen for truck and air shipments if FDA has not received the electronic notification from CBP’s system that the cargo has arrived. If the cargo has physically arrived, and ITACS is still displaying this message, please check with the broker for the status in ABI. If ABI status is not available, contact the local FDA office at the port of entry for status inquiries. Contact information for all FDA import offices can be found at the FDA Import Office Locations and Contact Information link at the bottom of every ITACS page: Import Offices and Ports of Entry | FDA.
As an additional reminder, FDA is not receiving arrival information for all ACE entries with FDA data. FDA’s ITACS will display the message "FDA entry status information is not available pending receipt of Conveyance Arrival Notification." for truck and air shipments until the electronic arrival notification is received. As a result, this message is currently being displayed in ITACS for some truck and air shipments filed in ACE even after the goods have physically arrived.
FDA cannot override this ITACS status message even if the cargo has arrived, as ITACS relies on the electronic arrival notifications from ACE.
Receipt of this message does not affect the user’s ability to upload documents or to submit line availability information via ITACS; nor does it affect FDA’s ability to review the entry.
Customs brokers/filers are to rely on ACE messaging for status information. Other parties associated with the entry, including importers, logistics partners, etc. are to contact the broker/filer for status information.
Please contact ITACS Support at ITACSSupport@fda.hhs.gov with any questions regarding this message or ITACS in general.
