CSMS # 59151157 - **REMINDER** ACE Account and Subaccount Merge Request Letter Email Procedure; Do Not Mail or Courier Account Merge Letters
Please remember that CBP permanently transitioned to the procedures for ACE Account merge requests established during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, all merge requests must be submitted electronically; do not use courier or postal mail.
How to request CBP to merge or divest (remove) subaccounts:
The Account Owner (AO) or Officer of the Entity must submit a letter, on entity letterhead, requesting CBP to merge subaccounts.
The submitted letter must:
- Include the signature of the AO or a legally authorized entity officer.
- Request merging of the acquired subaccounts or divestiture of sub accounts.
- Include a copy of the public news release confirming completion of the acquisition or divestiture.
- Include the reason or justification for the action on the ACE Portal sub accounts.
- Include specific account information as outlined on the Managing an ACE Secure Data Portal Account Page under the Merging ACE Portal Accounts Tab Managing an ACE Secure Data Portal Account | U.S. Customs and Border Protection (cbp.gov).
If you have a National Account Manager (NAM), please email your letter to your NAM. All account requests go to your NAM.
If you do not have a NAM, please email a signed copy of the letter to the ACE Portal Account Administrator - selma.e.larson@cbp.dhs.gov, and copy (cc) ACE Support - ace.support@cbp.dhs.gov.
For tracking, without a NAM, you may contact the CBP Technology Services to request a ticket.
- By Email: ACE Support – ace.support@cbp.dhs.gov [NOTE: When emailing the helpdesk, attach a copy of the letter to attach to the ticket]
- By Phone: ACE Service Desk (ASD) – (866) 530-4172, select option ‘1’
