CSMS # 57354841 - Current Issues with the Entry Summary Data Universe in ACE Reports
The ACE Reports team is aware of and is currently working on addressing a number of outstanding issues related to the Entry Summary data universe and the reports that use it. The following is a list of the known issues along with recommendations for ways to circumvent the first two issues and a description of what we are doing in attempt to implement fixes to address them.
Issue: The line-level (ES-002) and HTS-level (ES-003) reports are not returning data in a reasonable amount of time, if at all.
Recommendation: Shorten the date ranges used in the prompts and/or schedule the report with a recurrence of “now” to be sent to your email address as spreadsheet. Those that are considered cross accounts will have to retrieve scheduled reports from the “History” section of the scheduler.
Planned Fix: We are in the process of implementing performance tuning measures meant to enhance the performance of these reports.
Issue: Scheduled reports and/or reports run in real-time reports are failing with an error message stating that the report contains “unresolvable objects” and/or that sufficient rights are not in place to access the report or the data elements therein.
Recommendation: Check the data elements listed in the “query filters” section of the report and re-add data elements that appear to be missing, particularly date data elements. We have seen instances where data elements that were once present in the query filters have inexplicably disappeared.
Please also try removing the Entry Date data element from both the prompts and result objects and then re-add this data element back to the report. We have seen multiple instances where this has resulted in reports working again when they originally were not.
Planned Fix: We are in the process of analyzing the issue with the Entry Date data element, as well as why once present data elements in the query filters section are missing in certain reports. The findings from this analysis will dictate the potential solutions to address these issues.
Issue: Certain dollar value data elements contain inaccurate data, to include a display of $0.00 when an actual, positive value should be present.
Planned Fix: We are reviewing and updating the code for the affected data elements and hope to have these updates in place in production on Thursday, August 24.
Please report any additional issues and send any questions to ace.reports@cbp.dhs.gov.
Thank you,
The ACE Reports Team
