The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has created new Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) product codes listed below. They are available immediately.

Product Code/Description

54J[][]22/Turmeric (Herbal & Botanicals II)
54K[][]22/Turmeric (Herbal & Botanicals, not Teas II)

Please note that dietary supplement products are only covered under industry code 54. Turmeric intended for use as a spice or color additive should still be classified in their appropriate Industry Codes of Spices, Flavors and Salts (28) or Color Additive Food/Drug/Cosmetic (50), respectively.
