CSMS # 55372571 - ACE Portal Modernization – Employee Social Security Number and Tax ID Masking Now Effective

On March 4, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) deployed the ability to mask trade employees’ social security numbers (SSN) and organization Tax ID numbers in the modernized ACE Secure Data Portal (ACE Portal). Specifically, for users with read-only account access, employee SSNs and organizational Tax IDs are now hidden in the modernized ACE Portal.

Currently, Account Owners can manage user access in the legacy ACE Portal under the “Accounts” tab. For detailed instructions on managing user access to mask sensitive information, review the Legacy ACE Masking PII guide.
