CSMS # 53440992 - Potential Trade Interruptions and Post-Release Impacts Due to Hurricane Ian

CBP recognizes that although the majority of filings and payments are submitted electronically, some filers may still encounter trade interruptions resulting from a hurricane or other weather-related incident.

If a filer is not able to comply with the entry summary filing or payment deadlines due to Hurricane Ian, they should contact their assigned Client Representative. CBP will take into account difficulties caused by Hurricane Ian when determining if it is appropriate to pursue liquidated damages for late filings and deposits.

Additional questions related to post-release interruptions caused by Hurricane Ian may be referred to CBP’s Office of Trade, Commercial Operations, Revenue, and Entry Division at otentrysummary@cbp.dhs.gov.
