CSMS #52733853 - Vessel Agency Account Type Deployment Scheduled for July 24, 2022
On July 24, 2022, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will enable a new account type, Vessel Agency, in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Secure Data Portal. This enhancement will allow Vessel Masters, Vessel Agents, and Vessel Operating Common Carriers (VOCCs) to submit data to CBP for the Vessel Entrance and Clearance System (VECS). This enhancement does not have any Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) impacts. Additionally, in the future this new account type will enable users to launch the eCBP application for eCBP online payment. This enhancement is planned as a part of the deployment of ACE Collections–Release 7. What will change for trade users?
- New users of the ACE Secure Data Portal, including Vessel Masters, Vessel Agents and VOCCs, will be able to apply for a Vessel Agency account type in the ACE Secure Data Portal.
Vessel Masters, Vessel Agents and VOCCs with existing ACE Secure Data Portal account access will be able to create a Vessel Agency account type view and provision access to their existing users. What additional resources are available?
