CSMS #49021616 - 21 Sugar Certificate Enhancement Deployment August 10

The LPC = 21 Sugar Certificate format is changing from ANAAAANNN to ANAAAXNNN (where N = numeric, A = alphabetic, X = alphanumeric) and the following restrictions will apply:

The first character MUST be either a ‘C’ (for a calendar year issued license/certificate) or an ‘F’ (for a fiscal year issued license/certificate).

The second character MUST be the single digit year the license/certificate was issued (e.g., ‘1’ for a license issued in 2021). The referenced license/certificate is only allowed to be used in the year (calendar or fiscal) that it was issued.

The ACE CATAIR Entry Summary Create/Update and ACE CATAIR Error Dictionary will be updated with this information and posted to CBP.GOV shortly.
