CBP is aware that the ACE Entry Summary (AE) is triggering error 691 for LIC/CERT/PERM NUMBER UNKNOWN on valid steel and aluminum license numbers. A fix will be deployed on Thursday 7/1/2021. The validation is not impacting cargo release; so in most cases, cargo data can be filed separately and summary transmission after the fix on Thursday. If the summary is receiving this error and summary filing timeframe requirements do not allow for waiting to file until 7/1/2021, the trade can reach out to Commerce at steel.license@trade.gov for a new steel/aluminum license for the Tuesday and Wednesday filings.
