CSMS #46065846 - Annual Quota Opening February 7, 2021: Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic (CSPV) Solar Cells

In alignment with Presidential Proclamation 9693 of January 23, 2018 under Section 201 of the Trade Act of 1974 providing for a tariff rate quota (TRQ) for Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic (CSPV) cells and an additional duty for modules comprised of CSPV cells, be reminded that the 2021 quota period begins February 7, 2021.

NEW On October 10, 2020, the President issued Proclamation 10101 under section 201 of the Trade Act of 1974 removing bifacial solar panels (HTS 8541.40.60.15) from duty exempt status and adjusting duty rates for goods as described in the Annex to the Proclamation. See 85 Federal Register 65639, October 16, 2020.

Please refer to Quota Bulletin QB 21-507 2021 Solar Cells/Modules (https://www.cbp.gov/trade/quota/bulletins) which addresses tariff rates and quantity thresholds for February 7, 2021 to February 6, 2022.
