The 2021 Customs Broker Triennial Status Report and fee submission period for all licensed customs brokers is open and reports are considered as filed in a timely manner when filed by February 28, 2021.
As of January 28, 2021, over 44% of licensed customs brokers have successfully completed the Triennial Status Report (TSR) via the eCBP portal. CBP encourages all brokers to submit the report and fee electronically via the easy to use eCBP Portal. To assist in a smooth reporting process, we are providing the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) below.
Question: What should I do if, when I attempt to enter my license number and issue date, I receive the following message, “No match was found for the license information”?
Answer: Attempt to re-enter your license information. If the error persists, contact the Revenue Modernization (Rev Mod) Service Desk (RMSD) at revmodservicedesk@cbp.dhs.gov. Include the name on your license, license number, date of issue from your paper license and if possible attach a copy of your broker license to the email. The RMSD will research and coordinate with the CBP Broker Management Branch to determine the resolution and will update ACE and the TSR database if necessary. Then, the RMSD will notify you of any updates.
Note: After three failing attempts, the TSR system will lock the user out for 20 minutes. After that lock out period, the user will have an additional three attempts before being locked out again.
Question: What should I do in the following situations? 1a: Accounting Departments are questioning charges coming from Pay.gov on company issued credit cards for the Triennial Status Report charge. 1b: Some company-sponsored credit cards (Purchase Cards), with predetermined vendor security profiles are rejecting charges from Pay.Gov.
Answer: If a broker is using a corporate credit card, he or she should notify their company’s accounting/finance department that the TSR fee is a pending charge. The accounting/finance department can notify the credit card company of the pending charge to avoid any TSR payment issues or unintended chargebacks. TSRs are not considered as filed and compliant unless the fee is paid.
