Local Closure for Port 1401 (Norfolk-Newport News) on January 4, 2018
The Port of Norfolk-Newport News will be closed on Thursday, January 4, 2018 due to inclement weather.
On January 4, 2018 a local closure day is granted to all who file entries at the Port of Norfolk-Newport News. CBP is extending an additional day, without penalty, for any entry summaries and payments of duties that were due on January 4, 2018 in the Port of Norfolk-Newport News. It is anticipated the Port will resume normal business operations on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1200 hours. This is dependent on road and weather conditions allowing for business resumption. CBP will continue to work with our local stakeholders to insure services are provided as quickly as possible.
