In order to facilitate the movement of legitimate cargo on Ocean and Rail shipments, it is recommended that the Planned Port of Entry be submitted on the entry (i.e., the Cargo Release ‘SE’ transaction, including Replace and Update transactions) rather than it being derived by the system when left blank. While we understand that it is not mandatory to file the Planned Port of Entry in some circumstances, doing so will assist with timely and accurate processing.
