Programming changes will be implemented at 12:01AM, March 10, 2016 in ACE PRODUCTION in order to increase the de minimis value from entry (aka Section 321) from $200 to $800 This will allow express air carriers and truck carriers to request an electronic release of Section 321 shipments on a manifest up to $800 in declared value. It will also allow the posting of releases on ocean, rail and general air carriers manifest for shipments of up to $800. All existing processes for these shipments will remain unchanged other than the value.
This change will be implemented in ACE PRODUCTION beginning at 12:01AM, March 10, 2016. Please contact Randy Mitchell, Acting Director, Commercial Operations, Revenue and Entry at randy.mitchell@cbp.dhs.gov if you have any questions.
