Blue Campaign to Highlight Women’s History Month
This Women’s History Month, Blue Campaign will highlight women’s voices from across the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as well as survivor leaders working to end human trafficking. Follow Blue Campaign social media channels (@DHSBlueCampaign on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram), in March to read feature insights from these leaders.
BLI Launches New Training
Last month, the Blue Lightning Initiative (BLI) launched a new training module for its partners. The updated training module contains new scenarios that depict what human trafficking can look like in both commercial and general aviation settings. BLI trains aviation personnel to identify potential traffickers and human trafficking victims, and to report any suspicions to federal law enforcement. Business Solutions for Empowering Human Trafficking Survivors (U.S. Chamber of Commerce)
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce published an article highlighting how employers can empower survivors based on the Business Solutions: Empowering Human Trafficking Survivors forum held in May 2021. The article lists key needs and opportunities, as well as resources and partnerships that businesses can engage to uplift trafficking survivors re-entering the workforce.
