Updated HB-1-3555, Chapter 3, Lender Approval

The Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program (SFHGLP) is pleased to announce revisions to technical Handbook-1-3555, Chapter 3, Lender Approval. These changes became effective upon the recent issuance of a Procedure Notice (PN).  Below are the highlighted revisions:

Chapter 3 – Lender Approval

• Paragraph 3.3 was revised to update the contact information for submitting applications for lender approval.
• Paragraph 3.3A was revised to provide additional guidance on the minimum requirements for a lender’s quality control plan and to update the contact information for reporting violations of laws or regulations, false statements, and program abuses.
• Paragraph 3.3B was revised to identify the additional requirements for quality control plans that apply to servicing lenders.
• Attachment 3-A, Lender Approval Checklist, was revised to update the Agency’s contact information and to provide additional guidance on the minimum requirements for a lender’s quality control plan, as described in Sections 3.3A and 3.3B.
