Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the Department of Treasury's Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF)

On Friday, May 6, 2022, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) updated the HAF FAQs and posted them to the Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program website.

The FAQs explains when a servicer may place a foreclosure action on hold when a borrower has applied for or takes advantage of HAF funds. Servicers are strongly encouraged to work with the borrowers to research eligible options that welcome sustainable homeownership.
