USDA Seeking Qualified Student Interns in Bozeman and Kalispell (Job Postings)
BOZEMAN, Mont., Feb. 17, 2022 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Montana is hiring three USDA Pathways Internship positions, which are designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school and while getting paid for the work performed. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for conversion to a permanent job in the civil service.
These three internship positions are scheduled to post to USAJobs on Thursday, February 24, 2022, and economic and community development organizations, county commissioners, job placement agencies, housing authorities and the media are encouraged to share this information as the job postings will only remain open until March 5, 2022.
The two Bozeman-based Internships include:
- A Community Facilities position, which will report to Montana's Community Facilities team and work on projects which provide affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas. - A Public Affairs / Marketing position, which will report to the state Public Information Officer to create and disseminate marketing materials, success stories and social media content to tell the USDA RD Montana story.
The Kalispell-based Intern will work with our Rural Business and Cooperative Services program to help businesses grow by providing the capital, training, education and entrepreneurial skills that can help those living in rural areas start and grow businesses or find jobs in agricultural markets and in the bio-based economy.
