USDA Rural Development Now Accepting Value-Added Producer Grant Applications
Application Deadlines are March 5, 2020 for electronic applications or March 10, 2020 for paper applications

USDA Rural Development announced today they are now accepting applications for the Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program. Nationally, there is approximately $37 million available.
VAPG requires a 50% match and offers up to $75,000 for planning grants (i.e. feasibility studies, business plans, etc.), and up to $250,000 for working capital grants (i.e. processing costs, marketing and advertising, etc.).
Who can apply?
Independent producers, agricultural producer groups, farmer- or rancher-cooperatives, and majority-controlled producer-based business ventures, as defined in the program regulation, are all eligible to apply for VAPG funds.
