Guide Me! What’s Changing?
Last week, we published the What's Changing Guide, a comprehensive document detailing each change end users will notice in FMMI upon the system upgrade. Remember, everything in FMMI is staying the same until February 2025! We’re communicating these changes early to allow users plenty of time to prepare.
The What’s Changing Guide is organized into four Key Change Impact sections:
✨ Fiori: the fresh, app-based user interface
📊 Simplified Data Model: the consolidation of data tables to a single Universal Journal
☂️ Business Partner Records: customers and vendors will sit under the new Business Partner umbrella, capturing and maintaining data for customers and vendors together
📑 Reporting: a few fields in reports will be adjusted while the overall process will remain largely the same
Within each section, you’ll find more information about what these changes mean, how they benefit users, and, most importantly, what each change means for you. The bulk of the What’s Changing Guide consists of tables with the following segments:
-
Today: description of current state FMMI in ECC
-
Tomorrow: description of future state FMMI in S/4HANA
-
What does this mean for you?: description of how today and tomorrow are different
-
Groups Impacted: specific roles, process areas, and/or teams that will be impacted by a change
