U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue to Unveil New School Meal Program Flexibility
Sec. Perdue in Leesburg, Virginia - Public Schedule for May 1, 2017
(Washington, DC, April 28, 2017) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will unveil an interim rule on Monday, May 1, 2017 designed to provide flexibility for school meals. Perdue will make the announcement during a visit to an elementary school in Leesburg, Virginia. Perdue will continue on to a technology center where he will connect with Future Farmers of America chapters via YouTube Live. Secretary Perdue will hold the following public events.

School Lunch Regulatory Flexibility Announcement
Sec. Perdue and Senator Pat Roberts will have lunch with students at Catoctin Elementary School and announce an interim rule providing regulatory flexibility for the National School Lunch Program.
