The NIFA GMI is a huge undertaking that will transform our grants management systems, processes and policies with the goal of making things easier for grant applicants, awardees and managers. NIFA is taking a highly collaborative approach to developing this new system, which is why as an external stakeholder we need your input.
NIFA has partnered with eRA as the service provider for grants management processes. eRA is a leading grant management service provider for the U.S. government and currently handles over 50% half of all grants that go through grants.gov. NIFA selected eRA as the primary provider after an extensive analysis we conducted during Phase 1 of the GMI.
Currently, we are in Phase 2 of our development process which involves a comprehensive analysis of every detail of NIFA’s grants management systems. We will carefully define our current and desired business practices and map them to eRA to develop a vision for the future of NIFA’s grants management operations.
By filling out this survey, you will be assisting with one the largest initiatives NIFA has undertaken in recent years. We will compare survey responses over time to ensure we’re making a positive change and can target any problem areas in the future. Your input is extremely valuable to us, and we hope you’ll assist us as we continue to improve our systems and serve the American people.
