National Watershed Coalition Hosts Watershed Rehabilitation Program Webinar - April 14, 2026

Palmetto Creek Dam

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) invites partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to join an upcoming public webinar hosted by the National Watershed Coalition (NWC) on the Watershed Rehabilitation Program (REHAB). This program provides vital technical and financial assistance to project sponsors as they work to rehabilitate aging watershed dams—many of which were originally constructed with NRCS assistance and are now approaching or exceeding their design life.

Rehabilitating these structures helps ensure they continue to meet current federal and state standards while addressing critical public health and safety concerns in communities across the country.

Participants will receive the latest program information and updates, including:

  • How to request REHAB assistance and what sponsors need to know
  • A template request letter for project sponsors
  • Overview of REHAB phases and milestone expectations
  • Funding authorities, cost-share requirements, and prioritization criteria
  • Examples of REHAB projects underway across the nation and what made them successful

This webinar is an excellent opportunity for local sponsors, conservation districts, state and Tribal partners, and other watershed collaborators to deepen their understanding of the program and prepare for upcoming project needs.
