   2024 Annual Soils Refresh
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) refreshes the publicly available soil survey database once a year. This Annual Soils Refresh (ASR) provides new soil data, updates to existing soil data, and new soil interpretations. The ASR also ensures all official soil data adhere to the same standards.
NRCS refreshed the official soil survey database on October 1, 2024. This data is now available to the public through Web Soil Survey and Soil Data Access.
A new GeoPackage SQLite database containing the updated data is also available for download. This product includes all tabular Soil Survey Geographic Database (SSURGO) data, a vector version of the polygons, and a rasterized version of the polygons.
