Wildfire Recovery Options for Farmers and Ranchers: Webinar July 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

Spokane Valley, WA (June 20, 2024) – Washington State Farm Service Agency (FSA) will be continuing the monthly webinar series with a presentation on wildfire relief options for farmers and ranchers. The webinar will take place on July 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. It will cover FSA’s six wildfire relief options and how to take advantage of each one. A guest speaker from Washington Department of Natural Resources will discuss the Post-Fire Recovery Program which is also available to farmers and ranchers in Washington State.

Date: Wednesday, July 3, 2024

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Important dates for wildfire programs are as follows:

Livestock Forage Program (LIP)

  • July 15 – Deadline to file an acreage report.
  • January 30 – Deadline to file an Application for Payment

Emergency Program for Livestock, Honeybees, and Farm-Raised Fish (ELAP)

  • January 30 – Deadline to file a Notice of Loss and Application for Payment.

Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP)

  • March 1 – Deadline to file a Notice of Loss and Application for Payment.

Emergency Conservation Program (ECP)

  • Application periods are determined by the County Committee. Contact your local office for more information.

Emergency Loan

  • The final day to apply is eight months after the most recent Disaster Declaration where the county was listed as either a primary or contiguous disaster county.

Non-Insured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP)

  • Deadlines for NAP vary by crop. Consult your Summary of Coverage or your local county office for more information.
