Divide County Reminders

2022 ERP Track 1 and Track 2ERP 2022 program benefits will be delivered to eligible producers with crop yield and value losses from qualifying disasters occurring in 2022. through a two-track process. No announced deadline.

2024 ARC-PLC Election and Enrollment - Divide County PHONE appointments started this week. Enrollment is required for 2024 for all Divide County producers.  Producers have the option to retain or change elections to ARC-CO, ARC-IC or PLC. Janel will be calling for enrollment and election updates through March 15, 2024, the ARC-PLC Deadline.

2023 Livestock Indemnity Program - Livestock producers with livestock deaths due to the weather events in 2023 have until February 29, 2024, to file a notice of loss, submit documentation and file an application for payment.  Please call the office to set up an appointment and learn what documentation is required to complete the application.  Deadline is February 29, 2024.

Continuous Conservation Reserve Program - The Continuous CRP Signup is accepting application for environmentally sensitive land devoted to certain conservation practices based on eligibility requirements and enrollment levels.  The first batching period deadline is March 15, 2024.  Call Abby for more information.

Operator or Owner Changes - Please contact the office as soon as possible to report changes to your farming operation and/or land changes including ownership.

Divide County FSA is Hiring!!

The deadline to apply has been extended to February 9th!!

A copy of the vacancy announcement and application may be obtained directly at the Divide County FSA office. 

In order to be accepted, applications must be postmarked or delivered in person no later than the closing date of the announcement.  Applications submitted by email will also be accepted.  Please send emails to: Emilee Pulvermacher.

Applying for Farm Storage Facility Loans

The Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) Farm Storage Facility Loan (FSFL) program provides low-interest financing to help you build or upgrade storage facilities and to purchase portable (new or used) structures, equipment and storage, and handling trucks.

Eligible commodities include corn, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, oats, peanuts, wheat, barley, minor oilseeds harvested as whole grain, pulse crops (lentils, chickpeas, and dry peas), hay, honey, renewable biomass, fruits, nuts and vegetables for cold storage facilities, floriculture, hops, maple sap, rye, milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, meat and poultry (unprocessed), eggs, and aquaculture (excluding systems that maintain live animals through uptake and discharge of water). Qualified facilities include grain bins, hay barns, and cold storage facilities for eligible commodities.  

Loans up to $50,000 can be secured by a promissory note/security agreement, loans between $50,000 and $100,000 may require additional security, and loans exceeding $100,000 require additional security.

You do not need to demonstrate the lack of commercial credit availability to apply. The loans are designed to assist a diverse range of farming operations, including small and mid-sized businesses, new farmers, operations supplying local food and farmers markets, non-traditional farm products, and underserved producers.

March 31, 2024: Deadline to take out a Marketing Assistance Loan for Barley, Canola, Oats, and Wheat

When Loss Is Known:   Report Livestock Losses for LIP & ELAP purposes.
When Loss Is Known:   Report Bee Colony losses for ELAP purposes.
When Changes Occur:  Report Changes to Quantity and/or Location of Bee Colonies.
ASAP: Any Land or Operating Changes (new land, new operator, new ownership, etc.)
