The deadline for Agricultural Risk and Price Loss coverage (ARC/PLC) enrollment is next Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Please contact the Grant County Office to make an appointment to enroll your farms if you have not done so already. All operators and owners with a share of the crop will need to sign, so do not wait until the last day.
Emergency Relief Program (ERP) Phase 2 and Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program (PARP) opened on February 27th and will run through June 2, 2023. Both programs are revenue loss assistance programs that compare a benchmark year (either 2018 or 2019) to a disaster year (either 2020 or 2021). ERP Phase 2 is meant to assist with any crop revenue losses not covered under ERP Phase 1. PARP is intended for producers that suffered at least a 15% loss in revenue in 2020. Payments for these programs will be issued after the signup deadline of June 2nd. We have Fact Sheets available showing what information from your Schedule F Tax Form is required to complete an application. Our office can provide program information, but any specific tax or revenue questions should be referred to your accountant. For program applications and more information click here. CRP General signup opened on February 27th and will run to April 7, 2023. Under the CRP program, producers and landowners establish long-term, resource conserving practices, that are designed to control soil erosion, improve water quality, and enhance wildlife habitat on cropland. General CRP includes a Climate-Smart Practice Incentive to help increase carbon sequestration and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
