NRCS Solicits Comments on Proposed Changes to National Instruction 430-309, “Soils 2026–Mapping Every Acre”
Action Required By: November 15, 2022
Revisions to NI 430-309 include:
- Defining the development of long-range plans
- Updating the implementation timeline dates
- Clarifying and accounting for database changes to evaluate project areas
- Adding standardized procedures for re-evaluating and revising project plans (section 309.6)
- Updating the raster soil survey levels and characteristics
