Nebraska FSA Now Hiring for Full-Time Positions at Various Locations Across the State

We Are Hiring FSA

USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) is hiring for multiple full-time, permanent positions at county office locations across Nebraska. The positions for which FSA is hiring include key farm loan positions in both the Lexington and McCook FSA offices, and county office farm program technician positions in the Columbus and Sidney FSA offices. 

FARM LOAN MANAGER POSITIONS
Farm Loan Managers are responsible for serving as the Service Center technical authority on Farm Loan Programs and the primary point-of-contact on all farm loan issues addressed in the counties serviced. These individuals supervise and direct the work of staff responsible for making, servicing, and liquidating loans under FSA farm loan authorities.

FARM LOAN OFFICER TRAINEE (FLOT) POSITIONS
Farm Loan Officer Trainees are hired as full-time employees while they complete a two-year training program to become Farm Loan Officers. The positions work in a developmental capacity, receiving on-the-job and classroom training on the way to becoming a Farm Loan Officer. Farm Loan Officers assist in making, servicing and supervising loans and providing technical guidance and credit counseling to loan applicants and borrowers.

These positions will be based out of the Dawson County FSA office in Lexington and the Red Willow County FSA office in McCook, but could train at various locations.

COUNTY OFFICE FARM PROGRAM TECHNICIANS
Program technicians are responsible for carrying out office activities to provide technical assistance and program support so farmers and ranchers can understand and access FSA program benefits. Basic requirements include general office clerical work, record keeping, computer ability, organizational skills and good public relations skills.
